You Call the Shot! Winner

After a summer of intense competition from more than 450,000 Twisted Shotz fans, our You Call the Shot Contest has crowned its winner! Not only did we receive more than a thousand recipes, with fun names and descriptions, we learned a great deal about our fans’ interests, spirit preferences, favorite flavors, creativity, and fervent affinity for the brand. After weeks of voting, fans narrowed our finalists down from sixteen to eight, and then finally to three top contenders: Pussy Cat, Moscow Mule Kick, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The race was tight, but with the help from a team of professional mixologists (who tweaked the flavors for both compatibility and taste) and tens of thousands of votes from our Facebook fans, we’re happy to introduce our You Call the Shot Contest gold medalist: 

PUSSY CAT!

Pussy Cat is a sassy watermelon and piña colada flavored shot dreamt up by Twisted fan Avonlea Schoeneberg, of Edwardsville, Illinois. Avonlea manages her own handmade jewelry business, called Girls Shoot Too! (how fitting!), and used her love for her fur babies – rescued cats Dot and Darrel, as inspiration when naming her winning shot. Avonlea has been a Twisted Shotz fan ever since she threw back her first Porn Star, and now we’re happy to welcome her tasty flavor creation into our Twisted collection, which will hit shelves in early 2017!

While Pussy Cat was a fan favorite, we just couldn’t ignore the tasty innovation in our silver and bronze medal winners – Moscow Mule Kick and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The spicy ginger and citrusy lime in Moscow Mule Kick was a hit among our Twisted man fans, making it a perfect addition to our collection and the perfect way for our ladies to give their guys a treat too. The fruity sweet pineapple and vanilla flavors in our Pineapple Upside Down Cake gave Pussy Cat a run for its money and we just can’t help but give our Twisted Fans what they want! You’ll be seeing Moscow Mule Kick in early 2017 and, if all goes well, Pineapple Upside Down Cake will be on the shelves in 2018 (fingers crossed on this one). 

The massive success of our “You Call the Shot!” contest is a great example of the value of giving our fans a meaningful voice in the direction of the brand. Since launching the “Women Call the Shotz!” program, we’ve gained more than a half million new advocates across our priority states. With millions of fan touches, tens of thousands of votes and a thousand recipe entries, not only did we end up with amazing shot ideas, but we had real insight into our rabid fans’ favorite flavors, taste preferences, drinking occasions, and investment in Twisted Shotz as one of their go-to brands. We heard you, ladies, and we're taking action on your behalf. With this kind of learning, the opportunities are endless. Knowing your fans is knowing your brand’s potential!
